It appears Shaquille O’Neal enjoyed himself at the 2024 Super Bowl this past Sunday (Feb. 11). The following day, the 51-year-old retired basketball icon took to Instagram to share a snapshot from his weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, where he caught up with Taylor Swift and expressed admiration for his newfound interest, Ice Spice.
In the photo, the towering sports analyst and DJ stands tall beside Swift and the 24-year-old "Munch" rapper, with his arms draped around their shoulders. Ice Spice flashes a peace sign, while producer RiotUSA looks away from the camera on the other side of the 34-year-old "Anti-Hero" singer.
In his caption, Shaq praised Ice Spice's appearance, writing, "and @icespice is so darn fine. Thanks @taylorswift."
The trio, along with Blake Lively, Lana Del Rey, Miles Teller, and Keleigh Sperry, cheered on Swift's boyfriend, tight end Travis Kelce, who played a pivotal role in the Kansas City Chiefs' victory over the San Francisco 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII. Kelce's family also joined the group at the game.
Later, Ice Spice shared her own Instagram photos featuring Swift and Shaq, as well as a snapshot of the "Shake it Off" singer's entourage rooting for the Chiefs in the stands. She simply captioned the post, "W."
During the Super Bowl broadcast, viewers caught glimpses of Ice Spice both live and in a commercial break. The Bronx native starred in an ad for PepsiCo, where she dismisses her fictional ex-boyfriend's attempts to reconcile in favor of a refreshing new choice: Starry soda.
"I just need something refreshing, more crisp! I’m with Starry now," she stated in the 30-second spot.
A week prior to the Super Bowl, both Ice Spice and Swift attended the Grammys. Ice Spice was nominated for Best New Artist (which went to Victoria Monet), while Swift won Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for "Midnights." Ice Spice will be honored with the Hitmaker Award at the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Awards on March 6.
