Following its initial success, Oceans Calling Festival is set to return, promising another unforgettable experience for attendees. The decision to bring back the festival comes on the heels of its triumphant debut from September 29 to October 1, 2023. The inaugural event drew an impressive crowd of 50,000 people each day, transforming Ocean City into a bustling hub of excitement. Festivalgoers flooded the historic Boardwalk, inlet, and surrounding beach, enjoying delectable treats from local food vendors and reveling in the festivities at Jolly Roger at the Pier amusement park, all while being serenaded by live music.
The vibrant atmosphere breathed new life into the resort town, with local businesses like King's Cotton Candy, Bull on the Beach, and Cork Bar thriving amid the festival buzz. The overwhelming success prompted gratitude from the organizers, C3, who expressed their appreciation to the incredible acts, dedicated staff, and enthusiastic fans. With anticipation building, they eagerly announced their plans to return, promising an even more sensational experience for all.
The return of Oceans Calling Festival and its future
After being compelled to cancel in 2022 due to the impending severe weather from Hurricane Ian, much to the disappointment of eager festival attendees, the music festival made a triumphant comeback in 2023.
Following its success, the town and C3, the event promoters, have signed a three-year contract. This agreement includes tentative date holds for a multi-stage music festival in 2025 and 2026, as reported by Delmarva Now.
