Dwyane Wade extends his partnership with Versace through a fresh campaign featuring new men's eyewear.

Regarding the new campaign, the NBA Hall of Famer emphasized the significance of the right pair of shades, stating, "The right pair of shades are an outfit’s finishing touch. The right pair of Versace shades are a finishing touch, a talking point, and so much more."

Nearly a year after NBA legend Dwyane Wade first became the face of Versace men's eyewear, a new campaign has emerged to commemorate the ongoing collaboration, almost like an anniversary gift.

In this latest campaign, the Hall of Fame champion showcases both sunglass and optical styles from the latest men's line through a series of images and videos for the renowned fashion house led by Donatella Versace. Introducing Versace Profiles, this initiative is a novel project from Versace aiming to provide a more intimate glimpse into the featured model's life. Wade, in this context, was given the task of constructing a personal profile by selecting "items precious to him and sharing the stories behind them, all while his physical profile is documented in photographs," as revealed during Monday's launch. Among the chosen items were his inaugural NBA championship ring, a camera, and a photograph of his daughter, Kaavia.

In a provided Q&A from Versace, Wade expressed his admiration for the brand's ability to envision and accomplish extraordinary things. He spoke about the comprehensive world and lifestyle that Versace creates, encompassing clothing, accessories, eyewear, homeware, fragrance, couture, kids wear, and more. Wade, who retired from the NBA in 2019 and has since delved into various ventures, including authoring a New York Times best-selling book, entrepreneurship, producing, and philanthropy, acknowledged Donatella Versace as a significant inspiration. He highlighted her enduring success and the brand's consistent support for the LGBTQ+ community, a cause he passionately supports himself.

Wade's connection with Versace goes beyond the eyewear campaign; he has been present in the front row at Versace fashion shows, adorned Donatella's designs at the Met Gala, and donned a Versace ensemble during the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame induction ceremony in Missouri last August. Reflecting on the latter, he described it as a special moment, emphasizing the importance of wearing Versace for the occasion. The Q&A also provided a glimpse of how he looks in the new glasses.
