Stray Kids Find Another Gear with High-Powered Single "S-Class" as this week's Song of the Week.

Song of the Week focuses on new tunes that we can't get out of our brains. These songs and more can be found on our Spotify Top Songs playlist, and our favorite new songs from rising artists can be found on our Spotify New Sounds playlist. Stray Kids made their newest comeback this week with the exciting track "S-Class."

Stray Kids members Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, HAN, Felix, Seungmin, and I.N have the ability to morph when they come onstage. The band members are pleasant and nice in conversation or interviews; but, their stage personalities are quite different.

Stray Kids are known for their unashamedly loud music (their 2021 LP NOEASY poked fun at the criticism, with the album artwork admitting that they were in on the joke). 3RACHA, their in-house production team, consists of members Bang Chan, Changbin, and HAN, who also determine the band's lyrical approach, with Bang Chan in particular leading the way.

Stray Kids' music allows them to be significantly more braggadocious or controversial than they would be otherwise. For example, in 2022's "3RACHA," HAN shrugs and says, "Yeah, I'm famous," or later, when Bang Chan says, "Our copyrighted numbers won't be ever stoppin'/ 'Cause we still constructing, keep it comin'/ Why you mad?" (With over 100 songwriting credits already on his name, it's a flex he can back up.)

As seriously as they take their craft, there is a flip side to Stray Kids that allows for plenty of humor. Parts of the "S-Class" music video are ludicrous – an extraterrestrial attack? Sure! Cute choreography in a plundered stairwell? So why not? It's entertaining, vibrant, and somewhat campy. Stray Kids' fame is rising, and they're bringing us all up with them, sat in an S-Class – the most opulent place to be, according to Seungmin.
