According to reports, five members of the K-pop girl group LOONA have won their case against Blockberry Creative.
The Seoul High Court's civil affairs section decided in favor of LOONA members Haseul, Yeojin, Yves, Olivia Hye, and Go Won in their complaint against Blockberry Creative today (June 16), according to South Korean news agencies Segye Ilbo and Seoul Economic Daily.
According to the two sources, the court decided in favor of suspending the K-pop stars' Blockberry Creative contracts, believing that there was a problem with the company's choice to transfer the girl group's contracts to Universal Japan without the members' agreement.
LOONA members have subsequently responded to the news with Instagram postings. Notably, Yves tweeted a photo of Nicole Kidman following her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2001. Meanwhile, Yeojin shared a Harry Potter movie poster with the character Dobby proclaiming, "Dobby is free."
Meanwhile, LOONA members Jinsoul, Heejin, and Kim Lip, who had their contracts with Blockberry Creative halted in January, responded to the news with LOONA postings and photographs.
The announcement comes only a few days after Hyunjin and Vivi inked contracts with new agency CTDENM, which is purportedly led by former Blockberry Creative director Yoon Do-yeon.
Meanwhile, Heejin, Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry have joined Modhaus, a company founded by former LOONA creative director Jaden Jeong and home to the new K-pop girl group tripleS.
Odd Eye Circle, which includes Kim Lip, Jinsoul, and Choerry, is ready to make their long-awaited reappearance shortly.
